The Rams bulletin board

Forum Rules

We all know that Rams supporters are passionate and that being a football fan can be hard when results and finances are not going our way.

Please try to refrain from excessive swearing to emphasise your point, we have a swear word filter in force, so most words will be filtered out.

While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, a breach of copyright or otherwise violative of any law.

The Bulletin Board will not tolerate Rasicim and you are likely to get a warning or for serious offensive posts or personal messaging a ban may be on the cards.

Rasicsm
The legal definition:
Race discrimination occurs when a person is treated less favourably on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin.

Copyright
When posting to the forums, what you write remains your copyright. However, there are certain considerations that you should bear in mind. You are responsible for what you write, and you should not infringe the copyright of others. For the avoidance of doubt, you are allowed to quote short sections from the works of others. It is the nature of forums that people may quote all or part of your message in any reply that they may post to the forum, or in private email messages to others.

Private email
If a person has sent you a private email you may not forward it to a public discussion group without the prior consent of the person who sent it. This does not prevent you forwarding private email to the Discussion Administrator should you consider this appropriate.

Name calling, racist remarks, swearing, and any other type of offensive posts or linking to such material will not be tolerated and you are likely to get a warning or for serious offensive posts or personal messaging a ban may be on the cards.

Please remember this forum is widely read, daily by a large number of people, and is the official forum of the Derby Evening Telegraph's www.therams.co.uk website.

We are trying to keep the boards real-time so people can comment directly after matches, but if it becomes a problem we would switch to the more inconvenient mode of 'real moderation'. Or if there are persistent breaches of our rules by
a number of people the boards could even be shut-down altogether.

The boards are at present moderated but cannot be permanently watched, if we are alerted to a breach of these rules, we will act as soon as we can.

Away fans are welcome, BUT if we feel that your presence will lead to a breakdown in the quality of the board or if it's clear you are trolling we will ban you.

If you've come for information or for friendly banter fine, you will find our board members knowledgeable and helpful, and generally good humoured.

Primarily, this board is for and about Derby County.

Member forum bans will be given after a warning has been issued. The severity of the ban will depend on the severity of the issue. The moderators ban is not up for debate, it is final. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts or links without notice. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules. Clicking on external links by posters is undertaken at your own risk

If you are given a warning, please do not post a follow up messages in the forum asking why you got a warning. These are personal and they will not be dealt with in the public forums. Please PM the moderator / admin who gave you the warning.

Important: Any member seen trying to get round a ban by creating another account will be delt with severly, and given a forum wide ban.

Insulting Moderators and Administrators

The Moderating team and the admin team are here to make the site a fun place. If they have to give you a warning for breaking the above rules then do not hurl abuse at them or threaten them. You were obviously given the warning for a reason, if you disagree, and want to ask them why you were given the warning preferably by PM to keep it off the forum, you do have the right to question it, but if you end up arguing and it leads to personal insults it may lead to another warning.

Despite everything you've just read, we really do want you to have fun and share your Rams knowledge, but play nice with others while doing so!

thanks, the moderating team
